System Sizing
How to determine the right BESS configuration for your project
Key Input Parameters
- Peak load (kW) — maximum power demand
- Average load (kW) — typical operating power
- Critical load (kW) — must-run equipment during outages
- Required backup time (hours) — autonomy during outages
- Existing PV capacity (kWp) — solar generation profile
- Diesel generator capacity (kVA) — current backup setup
- Electricity tariff structure — time-of-use rates
Sizing Methodology
- Step 1: Analyze load profile and identify backup requirements
- Step 2: Determine PCS power rating based on peak/critical load
- Step 3: Calculate battery capacity from backup duration and load
- Step 4: Evaluate PV integration potential and self-consumption
- Step 5: Select E261 or E1044, or parallel configuration
Configuration Examples
- Small factory (50kW critical, 4h backup): 1x E261
- Medium factory (100kW critical, 4h backup): 1x E261
- Large factory (200kW critical, 4h backup): 2x E261 parallel
- Industrial facility (400kW, 2h backup): 1x E1044
- MW-scale project: multiple E1044 units
